This photo shows Evelyn and i receiving a medal from the Rio Olympic. The reason we did was because we were doing it for the sketchnote we needed to get an image showing a person from your country holding a medal. First we had to find a image of a NZ medal winner on the podium from the Rio Olympics The find an image of yourself after that you have to crop your face out of the photo and put it on the Image you chose.
I am a Year 7 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson, Ms Naicker and Ms Kirkpatrick.

E-ako Maths
This is my screenshot that shows what I've been learning on e-ako maths. I have been learning to Match pictures of fractions with their symbols and names. I have completed my work and I will be going to do another set of fractions. I learned that we have to split fractions into equal parts, and you can use fractions with anything e.g " Bread " Cutting bread into equal parts.

Run Jump Throw
On Wednesday LS2 went to Run,Jump,Throw with Andi. Our topic that we were talking about was Long Jump based on the Olympics. We all had to stand behind the line and then Jump to the next line to see how far we could go, After doing that we got into our groups and we jumped to the line and there would be a person who would put the cone from where you landed. If you landed the furthest then you would have to stand on the White patch and I was one of those people.

Current Events - Olympics
The topic that we were working on was about the sportsmanship between Nikki Hamblin and Abbey D'Agostino. Nikki was tripped up in the 5000m heat in Rio. When she fell Abbey D'Agostino tripped over her. They way they helped each other finish the race showed sportsmanship. I am glad to see sportsmanship happening in the Olympics because it shows what fair play looks like. I think these runners are great role models. Link to Site

Art challenge
Yesterday we did an art challenge while half of the class was at Netball inter-school. This art was on the Olympics, first we had to chose a silhouette based on Olympics. I chose a gymnastic design, after choosing the silhouette we had to design the background meaning getting shapes and drawing it on the background. After finishing we drawed pastel on the shapes and Mrs anderson put some black ink on the lines. When that was done we glued our silhouette's on.

Writing - Language Features
Mrs Naicker gave us a paper and on that paper there was a story about the hail storm, and we had to figure out which sentences were Language features.
Language Features
This week in writing we learned about Language Features. We had to make a DLO on Language features, Mrs Naicker told us what we had to do. We had to pick a buddy to do the DLO with My partner and I chose to do these words because it was a verb,Adverb and adjectives.
Run Jump Throw
Today we had Run Jump Throw. We had to Bend our elbows then do cheek to cheek. When andy said On your mark we had to put our left foot infront of the yellow line but if we were running in the Olympic games and if we put our foot infront of the line that meant that you would be disqualified. When andy said Set we ran to the other side doing cheek to cheek. I also used high knees to get to the other side faster.

Ordering numbers
This is another maths game that i have done, i had to order the fractions Highest to lowest. I had to pick the apples from a arrow if it was the wrong number then it would of been rejected but If you got the right answer then the little character ate the apple. I enjoyed this game because it was fun and it was also a maths game. If you would like to play this game or practice ordering your number then i will leave a link at the bottom of my blog post.
Ordering numbers - Maths game
This is a screenshot of my results, Half of LS2 did a practice on the Ikan test after doing the test. Mrs Anderson told us what we struggled on and she found maths games for us because we got some questions wrong but then we had to practice those questions on a maths game. For this game I had to order the numbers smallest to biggest it also showed balloons which had the numbers on it and there was a pin i used that pin to pop the balloons and this was my final score.

Current Events - The Big sleepOut
This is my current events that i have finished today. My topic was about the big sleep out 2015. The big sleep out is when people sleep outside to raise money for the homeless. This had a big impact on me. The author wanted us to know that homeless people have no hope and they dont choose to be homeless.

Hoverbike Poster
LS2 have been working on advertisements, in one of the activity we had to partner up with a buddy and make you own advertisement about a hoverbike. The reason we did this was because LS2 watched a short animation about a character riding a hoverbike but the character did not read the instructions so it turned out that the hoverbike chased him and if you would like to watch the rest of the video I will leave the link in the bottom of this blog post.

This is a screenshot of my final result, We were practicing recalling our times tables at speed using quizziz. Mrs anderson's maths group raced against each other and this maths game shows you what you need to work on. My final score was 14 and 11th, we had to guess the answer in 10 seconds. This math's site was good to use because I answered some questions wrong and now i know that i have to work on those questions.
