Women were allowed to participate in sporting events in Sparta. women weren't allowed active participation in the Olympics. I don't think it is fair on the women that weren't aloud in the Olympics because they might of trained hard and then they just weren't aloud to be in the Olympics. In fact women were often forbidden from even watching the games.

ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you on this one! I don't think that it is fair that women were not allowed to participate in the ancient Olympic games. I believe that they are just as capable as men of being good athletes and they deserve to have the same opportunities to participate. I am so glad that the modern day Olympic rules are different!
