Should NZ change the flag?


LI: To make an informed choice



Today LS2 had to voteing if we change the flag or keep the current flag. We got given a piece of paper that was our voting paper if you wanted to vote for the current flag then you would tick the box underneath but if you wanted to vote for the current flag you would tick that box. I wanted to change the flag because of many reasons.

Here are some of the reason why we should change the flag:

  • 27 million dollars spent shouldnt be wasted 
  • New generation
  • one of many flags with union jack
  • too similar to Australian flag

Orientations Exaples:



Tittle:
It is a name that is given to  the story.
The Little Red Riding Hood
Orientation:
It means it is a hook  that is in the start of your story.
Little Red Riding Hood had to take food to her grandmas house she was walking through the forest then a wolf comes and stalks Little Red Riding Hood.
Problem:
It is the story that explain the problem that is happening in the story.
The wolf races to grandma’s house and ties up grandma and shoves her into the closet. The wolf pretends to be grandma, and then Little Red Riding Hood knocks on the door.
Explanation:
A statement that makes something clear.
After Little Red Riding Hood  walks to grandma’s house she notices that grandma had big and long ears, big eyes and was hairy. After she notice that  she knew it was the wolf.
Solution:It is solving the problem in the story.

The Woodcutter saves Little red riding hood from getting eaten.

LI: To understand the structure of a narrative
Today I was learning to understand the structure of a narrative. We had to put the story in T.O.P.E.S which is the structure of the narrative writing.

Tech




Today we had Tech  we made fruit salad it was very nice. Mrs Heka showed us  how to cut with the Knife. We Were allowed to take our fruit salad back to school I enjoyed it.

Self Management Award

Shannnon & I Have achieved a  Self Management award, I Had to shake Mr Johnston's hand. I was proud of myself for getting this award As i saw the little kids smiling. 

How to be a Scientist



We Learned how to be a Scientist in group one. It was Very fun making OBBLECK and Baking soda and Vinegar.
