Read 20

We have been doing read 20 for the past few weeks,  i have been reading the stories and then answering the questions. Since ive been doing this  i have been grading to the next levels. The whole class uses Read theory but we read for 20 minutes and Mrs Anderson's reading group uses the Reading ladder. We practice looking back at a text to find information.

Buddy reading

This Afternoon, We had two classes Room 3 and Room 4 come to our class to buddy read. My buddy and I read a book called a tiny seed, After reading the book I asked my buddy questions about the story he read. Then We went and chose another book to read.

Advertising

 Today, we have created a DLO on Advertising, We had to write 25 words to explain what advertisement is. We had to go in our group and look at a piece of paper that explained advertising, then a person from our group would go to the paper and go back to the group and tell the writer what to write.

Majestic Lion

                                       

Today we have finished our documentary that we watched the other day, After watching it we had a choice and I chose to do a logo for the Majestic Lion pictures. It was a very good documentary It tells us don't always believe what you see.

What killed the Dinosaurs?

What killed the dinosaurs?

There was a  bright light when the dinosaurs died. Some people think it was caused from Ice Age New insights about the asteroid thought to have killed off the dinosaurs suggest it may have     just been the final blow.	Dinosaurs have been real before we born The research, detailed in the February 8 issue of the journal Science, The Ice age would of killed many of the planet's living species.

Today we have done research about What killed the Dinosaurs, We had to find out different answers from Google search. Do you think Dinosaurs are real?, We found out that dinosaurs died from a Meteor.

Searching for words - Dictionary

We had to find out the words that sounded like Un, Mishaan and I looked in the dictionary and found all of these Un words. I found this easy because you just need to look in the dictionary and Write it on the computer.

Adjective Hunt!

Today we read Use your imagination, it was about a girl named Clare she was bored but her mum told her to use your imagination so she went to the library and read a book that hooked her in the story. We had to find the Adjectives in our story.

Pbs Flag Vote Data Comparison - Mya

                       

Panmure Bridge school decided to do a flag vote. Most of the junoirs wanted to change the current flag and have the new flag. It was a Waste of money for the new flag because we are now keeping the current flag insted of changing it. I am happy to keep the flag because it has meaning to and the junoirs only wanted to change it because they never knew the meaning of it so they  chose to change but we are not changing the Flag.

Comma

This week we have been learning where to put a comma in the correct place. We have written sentences and added commas to make the sentences flow. I have learned new things about comma's that i did not know about.

Should NZ change the flag?

Today LS2 had to voteing if we change the flag or keep the current flag. We got given a piece of paper that was our voting paper if you wanted to vote for the current flag then you would tick the box underneath but if you wanted to vote for the current flag you would tick that box. I wanted to change the flag because of many reasons.

Here are some of the reason why we should change the flag:

• 27 million dollars spent shouldnt be wasted 
• New generation
• one of many flags with union jack
• too similar to Australian flag
